It's Official - Shredding Confidential Waste to the British Standard

Shredall is pleased to announce that it has been audited successfully against BS 8470:2006 Secure destruction of confidential material - Code of practice as part of its annual ISO 9001 surveillance visit. This will give current and future customers complete reassurance that Shredall is operating to the highest standards.

BS 8470 covers key areas such as security and screening of personnel, but section 12 specifies that where practicable, end products consisting of recyclable material should be recycled. Shredall is very much signed up to this part of the standard. For example, all shredded paper is recycled, and all other waste streams (including IT equipment) are segregated for recycling.

Shredall is also pleased to confirm that the revised and extended scope of the company's ISO 9001 certification includes SDS's document and data storage facilities and records management services. For full details, please visit www.sds-storage.co.uk or call 0115 965 6300 and ask for Lucy Williams, SDS Manager.
