Security breaches are any organisations worst nightmare, particularly if it results in important business information getting into the wrong hands. It has been estimated that 85% of data breaches occur internally within the workplace. When using an office shredder, it’s easy for files to accumulate which can leave an opportunist time to take advantage of your unattended paperwork. Our shredding service provides businesses with a secure lockable console where paperwork can be deposited until collection, keeping everything private and confidential.

To comply with data protection law and to keep your workplace secure, you need to ensure you are safely disposing of all confidential data once you no longer need it. These laws apply for any confidential data, stored electronically or in hard copy. Once you no longer have a reason to retain it, it must be erased and disposed of in line with regulations.

How we can help

There are many ways Shredall SDS Group can help you declutter your workplace, keeping it as a secure place of work. Our scanning services will allow you to keep all of your important documents in digital form and available 24/7 via our document management software. If you would prefer to keep physical copies of your documents but no longer have the office space, we offer remote vault storage at our state-of-the-art facilities. Alternatively, if your business needs to dispose of old documents for security purposes we also offer both discrete on-site and off-site shredding.

Data destruction isn’t just paper

Personal and confidential data is not just paper but across many different formats of electronic media. Hard drives, CD’s, DVD’s and USB sticks are a small example of the things you should consider for media destruction. Many businesses sell their old IT equipment yet fail to recognise the high risk of a data breach. Erasing media does not guarantee the removal of all confidential data, and therefore we recommend either reusing IT equipment or destroying it entirely. Shredall SDS Group can destroy hard drives on-site or off-site. We have the facility to shred hard drives on our trucks at your location to give you that added reassurance and issue a certificate to prove its destruction. We use cutting edge data destruction technology to permanently destroy decommissioned discs, servers and photocopiers, making it impossible to reconstruct and recover data.

At the same time, we’re very mindful of the environmental impact, and pledge to recycle all shredded or destroyed material where possible. We recycle 100% of all non-contaminated waste, which is in keeping with our ISO 14001 accreditation.
