The Challenge
Prior to the introduction of GDPR, our client decided to consolidate their confidential waste shredding services into one UK wide supplier. Many of the brands within the group had differing suppliers, with varying levels of compliance and service levels. As each brand/company had different requirements they needed flexible and varying service offerings covering each requirement for the group.
The Solution
Shredall SDS Group provides on-site shredding services at our clients’ head office and multiple locations across the UK. We were awarded the group wide contract with the initial task of dealing with each brand individually and organising the best service and options for them.
Predominantly, each location has lockable consoles serviced on a pre-determined schedule to suit the number of staff and volume of confidential waste each site produces. Many of the sites have additional ad hoc services where we collect sacks and boxes on a call off basis. We receive these orders via an internal ordering software. Some of the brands prefer to back haul their confidential waste paper to central distribution centres, we have 40ft roll on roll off containers at the distribution centres that we service on a regular basis.
Each brand decided to work slightly differently but with the same result of a fully secure and compliant shredding service which is managed at branch/brand level but with transparency to the group.
The Result
The contract has been a great success and is changing and growing consistently. We have built a very strong and mutually beneficial working relationship and as a result we have now been providing our services for over ten years.
We recycle 100% of the paper waste, as well as cardboard and electronic waste. We arrange regular and ad-hoc collections for everyday or bulk waste for our client. We are committed to making sure that none of the waste we can recycle goes to landfill.
Shredall SDS Group have also introduced additional services such as general paper collections, cardboard recycling, document storage and document scanning services since the launch.
