The Challenge
Our central London client, who are a fashion and licence design, sales and manufacturing company for major high street stores and brands across the UK and Europe required the collection and destruction of 500 Boxes of faulty garments. The market value of the clothing was £250,000; this merchandise belonged to our client's high street store customer. The clothing store needed to protect their intellectual property (IP) and brand - The order needed to be securely destroyed and this process had to be environmental friendly. Our Clients motive was to securely destroy garments, protect the exclusivity of the brand, use a company with high standards of compliance and ensure they are trustworthy.
The Solution
Our central London client, who are a fashion and licence design, sales and manufacturing company for major high street stores and brands across the UK and Europe required the collection and destruction of 500 Boxes of faulty garments. 56 pallets of garments were collected and securely transferred to Shredall’s Midlands facility HQ for bulk destruction. All clothing was processed through Shredall’s new high-speed Vecoplan shredding machine. The Vecoplan shredder has the capability to shred 6,000 tonnes per hour. All clothing was shredded, baled and recycled in line with the European standard of compliance. The whole destruction process was assessed first hand by the client, as part of NAID (AAA) Certification which Shredall adheres to.
The Outcome
The speed and quality of the service received was excellent. The level of flexibility showed by Shredall was first class. This was an unusual project made much easier by Shredall’s commitment to providing a personal and high-security shredding service. Protecting our brand and products from fraudulent resale and illegal saturation was paramount to this project and we feel Shredall are the confidential information destruction specialists!
