SDS Document Storage join forces with Mapperley and Arnold Rotary Club
Lloyd Williams, Chairman for Shredall SDS Group is former past president of the Rotary Club of Mapperley and Arnold. Lloyd has been an avid member of the local Round Table and Rotary Club in his hometown of Nottingham for over 30 years.
Every year at Christmas the rotary club collect donations on the streets of Calverton, Mapperley, Arnold and Carlton in Nottingham supporting both organisations charity appeals. The ‘Float’ as it is referred to or a ‘Santa Sledge’ has seen many changes in the way collections have been made over the years and thankfully with huge generosity many charities and individuals have benefited in the local communities.
For several years Shredall SDS Group have supported this initiative by lending our SDS Document Storage vehicles to tow the sleigh around the streets and town centres to add to the community festive spirit.
Lloyd comments “For many years I have dressed as Santa around the streets of Nottingham for charity. The most joyful part is seeing everyone’s happy faces (including adults) and the generosity donated to the collection. Last year we raised over £8000 to support local charities and we hope to do the same again this year.”
