ISO 27001:2013 is an internationally recognised certification in information security, setting the bar for establishing, implementing, maintaining and improving a company’s information security management system. The accreditation comes at a particular important time, as it demonstrates our compliance with all of the UK’s laws and regulations, including the recent GDPR set in place in May.

Shredall SDS Group has held this accreditation since 2013, demonstrating our continued commitment to securely handling our client’s sensitive information. Whether it’s data held on digital files or physical documents, we feel that it is our duty to fully ensure that all reasonable precautions are taken to stop sensitive customer information falling into the wrong hands.

Carole Woolhouse, Compliance Manager at Shredall SDS Group was delighted with the good news. She comments, “This is a massive achievement for the business in a year that has brought with it the challenges and opportunities of continued business growth and GDPR.”

“Every person in the business has a responsibility and role to play to ensure we continue to achieve our various accreditations, and regaining ISO 27001 is testament to everyone’s hard work.”

In once again passing this accreditation, Shredall SDS Group has given its customers peace of mind that their data is as secure as possible. With major companies like Yahoo, Ticketmaster and Dixons Carphone all suffering widely-discussed data breaches in recent years, there has never been a more pressing time for companies that handle, store and destroy data to set the standard for information security in business.
