ISO 9001 addresses various aspects of quality management. Organisations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
ISO 14001 is the international standard that specifics requirements for an effective environmental management system. This standard looks at the environmental performance of a business, providing an approach for measuring and improving their environmental impact.
Shredall SDS Group’s commitment to its customers through compliance with ISO Management Systems continues – even in the middle of a pandemic!
Shredall SDS Group has just undergone a successful four-day remote audit for ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 and has been recommended for continuation and re-certification against these standards.
The NQA Assessor observed in the closing meeting that through the use of video technology Shredall had managed to cover all bases required by the standards, including a remote site tour and off-site visit. Mindful of unprecedented pandemic times, he noted that Shredall SDS Group had demonstrated adaptiveness to customer needs and maintained an effective ISO Management System.
Carole Woolhouse, Group Compliance Manager, comments:
“Like many SMEs, Shredall SDS Group has risen to the challenges that 2020 has brought to the table. Through decisive leadership and a driven team, Shredall SDS Group continues to perform well at all levels against business and ISO objectives.
The Remote Audit was a new and valuable learning experience for the compliance team – and we even managed to accommodate a satisfactory HSE spot check of our COVID-19 workplace arrangements during the process!
I am really pleased with this outcome. It’s a real boost for the business and the compliance team – and it’s great to have such a reassuring good news story for our customers.”
Lucy Shipley, Group Director, comments:
“We are delighted to have passed both our ISO 9001 and 14001 recertification. Thank you to our compliance team for working so hard during the pandemic. It is very pleasing to hear that our system continues to provide the required level of control and that our organisation’s context is well defined, leadership is effectively demonstrated and commitment levels are evident. The virtual audit was definitely a new experience for us, however we are delighted with the outcome.”
