High-flying businesswomen, entrepreneurs and public servants were among the women who were honoured at the 2018 Nottingham Post Women In Business Awards last week. Shredall SDS Group were among women from a wide range of different sectors who received well-deserved recognition during the ceremony, including females from the world of big and small businesses, apprentices and construction.
Thirteen awards were presented on the night, 11 of those were chosen from nominations by Nottingham Post and Nottinghamshire Live readers, while an esteemed judging panel selected three finalists and award winners for each category.
Rising Star sponsor, East Midlands Airport announced Shredall SDS Group Financial Controller, Amy, as the winner for this year’s category, Amy comments “being recognised as a rising star against industries as competitive as the law and retail world is mind blowing enough but to actually win this award is incredible and I can’t thank the judges enough”
Marketing and PR Manager, Charlotte Williams comment’s “We put Amy forward for this award as she really is a rising star in our eyes. Her drive has taken her from a young mother of three, starting as a pot washer, juggling office jobs, maternity leave, college courses and finally working her way up to Shredall SDS Group’s Financial Controller at the age of only 31. Amy has dealt with the balance of raising a family, succeeding in her profession, whilst facing all the perceptions that come with it incredibly."
