Shredall SDS Group were among a variety of businesses at the Nottingham Business Awards, after two of our apprentices, Matt and James were shortlisted for ‘Apprentice of the Year’ category.
The award recognises rising stars of business who have made an outstanding contribution to the organisation they work in. We nominated Matt and James as we feel they are great assets to both teams and have equally played an instrumental role in the overall development of the business.
Thirteen awards were presented on the night, both of our apprentices were interviewed and judged by a panel before revealing the winner on the night. Apprentice of the year sponsor, Learning Unlimited announced James Davies our Compliance Apprentice, winner for this year’s category.
“To find out that I was a finalist and that I’d be attending the Business Awards for the first time, was a privilege for me. To then be awarded with Apprentice of the Year was a real honour and something I’m extremely proud of. Being recognised by not only my colleagues but also by the judging panel is incredible. I’m still blown away by it all.
It was a very memorable evening and one I won’t forget. I’d also like to thank everyone at Shredall SDS Group, not only for nominating me for the award, but for everything they’ve helped me learn and achieve over the last 18 months. The award represents the true dedication they have for promoting and developing young people within the workplace. “
